I'm trying to get photos on this page of one of the two villages in India where we source our products- one from the Vikasana project in Mandya, Karnakata and the other from a project in Pushkar, Rajahstan. This village is 3 km from Pushkar, the houses are mainly of mud-brick and of an average age of 110 years, the village has electricity only 7 hours a day, there is one refrigerator in the town, and one water pump for about 300 people. The bus comes only to within 1 km of the village and then the fare to Pushkar is the equivalent of half a week's savings... if these people are lucky they save 8 euros a year... some die with assets worth only 20 Euros.
