Design and Manufacturing services- from Concept to Catwalk.

We have the designers, we have the sample machinists, we have the sample production facilities, we have the offshore factories… and a  passion for what’s fashionable, as well as what’s sustainable.  We’ve been sourcing the fabrics for nearly 50 years, and with over 100 years of collective design experience we have several successful ranges under our belts… we even have the models and photographers, the genuine inner-city basement for your launch and the genuine Fitzroy laneways for your outdoor urban shoots.

All our designers  in this high profile industry have individual style and talent. Over the years we’ve amassed the talents of some of Australia’s best fashion students including Georgia Havekotte and Saskia Baur-Schmid, who have their fingers on the pulse of the full range of clothing styles.  We have the long-term support as well of internationally-acclaimed designer Susan Holmes and world authority on eco-colouring India Flint.  Our factories produce pieces which are perfectly constructed and finished!

Conceiving hot new clothing combinations is more than a dress up game for your mobile phone! We make it real life!  We can take your initial ideas, design gorgeous outfits for your clients, outsource your manufacturing … and in under three months you can see them on the runway!  We can even design a package where you can work with our experts and gain specialised technical know-how in everything from concept to catwalk, from the designer’s studio to the wholesale showroom and to the retail outlets.

Our own success in Beautiful Silks shows our expertise in a wide range of business activities in fashion, branding, retail, merchandising and international marketing, and we now make that available to you.

From time to time there is a need for a rush job, particularly where other suppliers have been unable to meet the needs of a client. We are pleased to undertake rush jobs, and offer a special “drop everything else, and attend to my needs now” service.

The service attracts a premium of 50%, subject to a minimum up-front fee of $2000 exclusive of materials cost. Due to the urgency it is often not possible to subcontract the manufacture of rush job garments.
