Check back soon to view photo's from the workshop held on the 7th & 8th July 2009.

The workshop is designed to give students a good grounding in hat making and finishing.

It will cover some basic pattern making and design, 3D construction using a resist, blocking, finishing techniques such as wiring edges, binding edges, inserting a Petersham head fitting ribbon, to give that professional look. Then there’s some fripperies to decorate and jazz up the hat – seamless bands, flowers, wired cords, anemones etc.

Some basic feltmaking experience is essential.

Cost: This 2 day workshop is $180.00, bookings are essential and very limited spaces available.

Doors open at 9.30am for a 10am start, refreshments provided but bring your own lunch.
